Car Storage

Car storage is an excellent option for a wide variety of car owners. Many owners prefer to store their classic or antique cars until they are ready to take them to an auto show. For owners of expensive sports cars with limited at home parking, covered car storage protects the car’s paint and tires from the sun and other environmental factors. Whatever the case may be Lakeview has various parking spaces in a variety of sizes.

Boats need proper care. If you own a boat, it is likely part of your summer routine. While they offer many fun benefits, boat owners must also address its storage, safety, accessibility, and maintenance. Lakeview Boat/RV & Self Storage provides storage for your boats and allows you more time to enjoy your recreational activities, without the added stress.

Simple Tips For Long Term Car Storage

Clean it up. Water stains or bird droppings left on the car can damage the paint. Make sure to clean the wheels and undersides of the fenders to get rid of mud, grease or tar. For added protection, give the car a coat of wax.

Change The Oil. Skip this step if you’re only storing the car for a week or two. Consider getting the oil changed if you will be storing the vehicle for longer than 30 days.

Give It Some Gas. This is another long-term car storage tip. Fill the tank with gas if you expect the car to be in storage for more than 30 days. This will prevent moisture from accumulating inside the fuel tank and keep the seals from drying out.

Keep It Covered. This will protect it and keep it at a temperature that’s relatively stable. Covering your car will also deter animals from making themselves at home should they sneak into our facility.
